AUTUMN LESTAGE~ owner and visionary of Natural Evolution
For three decades Autumn has worked as a hairstylist on Vancouver Island, forming friendships and connections that go beyond the salon. Natural Evolution is an extension of her beliefs in community, beauty and sustainability.
After facilitating thousands of transformations she is convinced that nothing has the power to transform like a truly beautiful cut & colour. With her experience and deep understanding of the science she is able to achieve everything from subtle enhancements to major changes without compromising the integrity of the hair.

She excels at in-depth consulting, where she can passionately create your customized color and cutting needs with her extensive knowledge. Kim highly values the sustainably created products she chooses to use on her clients for color, cleansing, & styling, with gentle and nourishing ingredients that leave you feeling beautiful.
Marie-LINEAdvanced / Colour Specialist
Marie-line has been in the hair industry for 20 years, and her passion for the “craft of hair” colouring, cutting, and styling has given her the opportunity to challenge herself all the way to the world's competition , placing her in the top six in Canada for the colour category in 2013, 2014, and 2016, which was a national and international competition . She then joined the styling team at New York City Fashion Week for model styling. Mari-line was honoured ‘The People’s Choice' Award for her outstanding work. Her extensive experience allows her the opportunity to customize for each and every client through the eyes of a pro.

Shelina started her hairstyling career in Alberta and joined the Natural Evolution team when she moved to Vancouver Island in the summer of 2021. Although she specializes in short-medium haircuts, she loves personalizing all cuts and colours to help her guests feel as beautiful and confident as they can be; and appreciates being able to do so in a more sustainable way. Shelina also loves exploring local markets, cruising on her paddle board, and curling up with her cat and a good book.

Rena boasts 25 years of experience in the beauty industry; she brings a passion for transformation not just in hair but in the way people feel about themselves. With European experience and a global perspective, she has developed her skill set to specialize in lived-in color, grey blending, and multidimensional blondes, all with a focus on crafting naturally beautiful looks that enhance each individual's unique essence, all with a commitment to sustainable beauty .
NicoleNew Talent
Nicole is a recent graduate of the Hairstylist Program at Vancouver Island University, Known for her gentle nature and calming presence, Nicole has a natural talent for hairstyling that shines through in every client experience.
Nicole is currently building her skills and confidence on the salon floor while completing her apprenticeship level two. With access to guidance from our advanced team during each service, Nicole ensures positive results for clients while furthering her development.
She excels at truly listening to her clients' needs and expectations, taking the time to understand their vision. With a thoughtful approach and a keen eye for detail and finishing, creating beautiful, flattering styles that complement each client’s features and personality is something she takes pride in.
EmilyNEW TALENT
Emily has recently graduated from the Hairstylist Program at Vancouver Island University. During her time at VIU, she proudly represented her school at the Skilled Trades BC Competition, earning a silver medal for her hairstyling talents and was also awarded the Excellence in customer service award. Her journey into hairstyling began many years ago apprenticing under her sister. While she enjoyed the creative environment, she initially felt uncertain about the path and decided to follow her lifelong passion for visual art. She went on to earn a diploma in Fine Arts deepening her understanding of colour theory, composition and design.
With a strong foundation in both art and hairstyling, Emily brings a unique perspective to her craft. She views each client's hair as a one-of-a-kind canvas, using her artistic eye and attentive listening skills to create looks that highlight natural beauty and individuality.
